PlayStation Plus drops a diverse four-game lineup for March

Sony just pulled the curtain back on the PlayStation Plus monthly games for March, and the spread is surprisingly eclectic. Starting Tuesday, March 3, subscribers across all tiers can grab four varied titles that bounce from high-stakes golf to massive multiplayer fantasy.

Leading the pack on the PS5 front is “PGA Tour 2K25.” If you’ve been itching to hit the links, this iteration finally brings the big majors into the mix, marking the franchise debut for The PGA Championship, The U.S. Open and The Open Championship. The expanded MyCareer mode lets players grind their way through the ranks to build a legacy, while upgraded skill trees and course designer tools give gearheads plenty to tinker with before jumping into cross-platform multiplayer.

For something a bit more chaotic, “Monster Hunter Rise” lands on both PS4 and PS5. Capcom’s wildly successful action RPG drops players into a world heavily inspired by ancient Japanese folklore to track down massive beasts. You get 14 distinct weapon types to mess around with, plus your trusty Palico and Palamute companions to help even the odds out in the field. The core gameplay loop remains as dangerously addictive as ever: hunt down a target, craft better armor from the spoils, and use it to hunt even tougher monsters.

If you need a palate cleanser after getting battered by a giant wyvern, “Slime Rancher 2” offers a vibrant pivot. Available for PS5, the sequel to the massive indie hit follows Beatrix LeBeau to Rainbow Island. It’s a first-person farming adventure where you gather strange resources, build up a sprawling glass conservatory, and wrangle a brand new batch of jiggly slimes. It’s the exact kind of low-stress exploration game perfect for killing a Sunday afternoon.

Rounding out the month is a massive time-sink: “The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road” for PS4 and PS5. Bethesda’s colossal MMO gives players a chance to roam Tamriel nearly a millennium before the events of “Skyrim.” The nice bonus here is that the Gold Road collection actually unlocks all the major chapter zones, biomes and quest arcs right out of the gate. You can bounce from the mushroom forests of Morrowind straight into the fiery realms of Oblivion without hitting a paywall, though it’s worth noting the 2025 Content Pass isn’t included in this specific drop.

All four of these titles will remain available to claim until Monday, April 6.

As a quick reminder to clear out your backlog, you only have until Monday, March 2, to secure February’s freebies. Make sure to add “Undisputed,” “Subnautica: Below Zero,” “Ultros” and “Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown” to your library before they rotate out.

  • Octopath Traveler 0 – Platinum Review

Octopath Traveler 0 – Platinum Review

After a staggering 176 hours of gameplay, it is safe to say that Octopath Traveler 0 is a monumental undertaking for any RPG enthusiast. Originally a mobile title, this prequel has made a surprisingly graceful transition to consoles. While the jump from mobile to big screen can often result in a loss of depth or visual fidelity, this port feels remarkably at home, offering a deep dive into the history of Orsterra that is both visually stunning and strategically complex.

The most striking feat of the game is its sheer scale, particularly regarding its cast. Moving away from the traditional eight-protagonist structure, this entry boasts a massive playable roster of 36 characters. The world-building is equally impressive; from the primary antagonists to the nameless NPCs found in various towns, every character feels distinct and purposeful. The writing manages to give even minor players a sense of place, making the world feel lived-in and meticulously thought out for a console experience.

From a gameplay perspective, the shift to an 8-man battle system is a significant evolution for the series. Moving from the standard four-person party adds a layer of tactical depth that keeps the “Break and Boost” mechanics feeling fresh even after dozens of hours. Managing two rows of heroes requires a level of foresight that keeps the engagement high, while the signature HD-2D sprite work remains the gold standard for the genre. On a console, the lighting effects and pixel artistry are top-notch, making it a visual treat for long-time fans.

However, the game’s transition to console isn’t without its growing pains, specifically regarding pacing and character development. For completionists aiming for the Platinum trophy, the experience can feel overly long. By the time the 150-hour mark passes, the gameplay loop can start to feel stretched thin. This leads to a minor paradox: despite the game’s immense length, the individual characters often lack the necessary screen time to truly shine. With 36 heroes to manage, the personal intimacy found in previous titles is sometimes sacrificed for the sake of variety.

Ultimately, Octopath Traveler 0 is a triumph of world-building and a must-buy for JRPG fans. It stands as a rare example of a mobile port that makes players wish they had experienced the original, yet it still functions as a premium standalone console experience. While it struggles slightly under the weight of its own massive roster and lengthy runtime, the strategic rewards and beautiful presentation make it an essential addition to any collection.

  • Bandai Namco announces ‘Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters’ for 2026 release

Bandai Namco announces ‘Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters’ for 2026 release

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced Wednesday that the long-running anime soccer saga will return to consoles and PC later this year with “Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters.”

The title, developed by TAMSOFT CORPORATION, marks the franchise’s first major entry in more than six years. Billed as “Super Action Soccer,” the sequel looks to move beyond traditional sports simulation by treating soccer matches as high-stakes battles where players utilize superhuman abilities.

According to the publisher, “World Fighters” will be the most expansive entry in the series to date. The game is set to feature 22 national teams, more than 110 playable characters, and a library of more than 150 unique special moves. These “super moves” will apply to all facets of the game, including passing, dribbling, and tackling.

The gameplay introduces a revamped tactical system for goal-scoring opportunities. This new mechanic pits goalkeepers directly against shooters, allowing both sides to trigger cinematic counters and signature blocks seen in the original manga and anime.

Players can also engage in a custom story mode, creating their own character to join Tsubasa on a quest for a world championship. The journey emphasizes building internal team friendships and navigating rivalries on the pitch.

To maintain the series’ signature energy, Tadayoshi Makino returns as the sound composer. The upcoming title will feature more than 80 new background music tracks.

“Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters” is scheduled to launch later in 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Additional information is available at the game’s official website: www.bandainamcoent.com/games/captain-tsubasa-2-world-fighters.

  • J. Cole Throws a “Birthday Blizzard” with Surprise Mixtape Drop

    J. Cole Throws a “Birthday Blizzard” with Surprise Mixtape Drop

    J. Cole is officially in “The Fall Off” mode. To celebrate his 41st birthday, the Dreamville leader pulled a classic mixtape-era move, surprise-dropping a new project titled Birthday Blizzard ’26.

Hosted by the legendary DJ Clue, the mixtape arrived yesterday as a direct-to-fan gift, bypassing traditional streaming giants like Spotify and Apple Music in favor of a raw, “pay-what-you-want” model on his official website.

While the internet is debating whether it’s an EP or a mixtape, Cole is calling it a blizzard. The project consists of four heavy-hitting freestyles where Jermaine reminds the world why he’s still a “Big Three” contender, even after the whirlwind of the last two years.

    The official tracklist includes:

    1. Bronx Zoo Freestyle
    2. Golden Goose Freestyle
    3. Winter Storm Freestyle
    4. 99 Build Freestyle

Technically, there is a fifth track—the “Birthday Blizzard ’26” long-form version—which compiles the entire experience into one continuous listen, perfect for those who want to hear the DJ Clue tags and transitions in their full, nostalgic glory.

A “Must-Listen” Before The Fall Off

For the Cole faithful, this isn’t just filler. The bars are dense, reflective, and sharp, serving as the ultimate appetizer for his long-awaited album, The Fall Off, which is scheduled to land next week on February 6.

“This feels like a warm-up for the real battle,” one fan noted on Reddit. “He’s sharpening the blade.”

The “Pay What You Want” Experiment

In a move that mirrors Radiohead’s In Rainbows or the Nipsey Hussle “Proud to Pay” era, Cole is letting fans decide the value of the art. While the minimum is set at $1 to cover server costs (which briefly crashed under the weight of the traffic), listeners can pay whatever they feel the bars are worth.

It’s a bold statement on the value of music in 2026 and a clear sign that Cole is more interested in his legacy and connection to his audience than the Billboard charts—at least for this birthday celebration.

  • Sony Delivers a Knockout: Here Are the 4 PlayStation Plus Games for February

Sony Delivers a Knockout: Here Are the 4 PlayStation Plus Games for February

If you thought February was going to be a quiet month for gaming, Sony just decided to change the narrative. In a surprising move, PlayStation Plus is offering a “bumper” lineup for February, dropping four titles instead of the usual three.

From the squared circle to the deep freeze of an alien ocean, this month’s selection covers just about every genre imaginable. All four titles will be available to claim starting Tuesday, February 3.

Here is the breakdown of what is hitting your library next month.

    1. Undisputed (PS5)

For sports fans tired of the arcade style, Undisputed is the answer. This is a serious simulation that aims to recapture the technical depth of boxing. It boasts a roster of over 70 licensed fighters—from current heavyweights to legends of the past.

The game features over 60 individual punches and a revolutionary footwork system that lets you control the ring. If you’ve been waiting for a spiritual successor to the Fight Night days, this is the one to download first.

    2. Subnautica: Below Zero (PS5, PS4)

The original Subnautica is widely considered one of the best survival games ever made, and Below Zero turns the temperature down—way down. Set on the arctic region of Planet 4546B, you are investigating the disappearance of your sister while trying not to freeze (or get eaten).

This isn’t just about managing hunger and thirst; it’s about crafting habitats, piloting vehicles, and exploring a world that is as beautiful as it is terrifying.

    3. Ultros (PS5, PS4)

If the art style looks familiar, that’s because the visionary behind Hotline Miami, El Huervo, is involved. Ultros is a trippy, sci-fi adventure set in a cosmic sarcophagus.

The gameplay loop is unique: you engage in brutal, close-quarter combat with cosmic horrors, but you also have to… garden? Tending to plant life opens new paths and offers moments of peace amidst the chaos. It utilizes a time-loop mechanic, allowing you to restart key moments to unlock different areas of the map.

    4. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)

Sometimes you just want to go fast and blow things up. Ace Combat 7 puts you in the cockpit of modern and futuristic fighter jets for intense dogfights. The visuals are photorealistic, and the tactical gameplay requires you to actually think like a pilot rather than just holding down the trigger. It’s the perfect game to test your reflexes (and your stomach for barrel rolls).

    Don’t Forget January’s Games!

With the new lineup arriving on February 3, you have until Monday, February 2 to add last month’s titles to your library. If you haven’t grabbed them yet, make sure to claim:

    • Need for Speed Unbound
    • Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
    • Core Keeper

In one of the most unexpected crossovers in franchise history, a global special video was released today.

The video, titled “Infinite Future,” features dynamic animation of Toriyama’s original manga covers and illustrations, all set to a sweeping orchestral score by the legendary Hans Zimmer. It’s a literal love letter to 40 years of Goku’s journey.

Here is the breakdown of the major anime projects and gaming news announced at the event

Coming Fall 2026, this isn’t just a rerun. This is a “reconstructed” TV anime project focusing on the Battle of Gods saga.

    • What’s New: It features improved animation, new cuts, and reshot scenes to align the power scaling more closely with modern lore.
    • The Beerus Factor: During the stage event, Beerus’s voice actor teased that this version emphasizes that Beerus is still a massive “moving goalpost” in power, capable of defeating Goku in a blink. It will also incorporate light manga elements and new notes left by Akira Toriyama.

The Genkidamatsuri wasn’t just a celebration of the past; it was a clear signal that the future of Dragon Ball is as bright! Between the mysterious AGE 1000 project and the continued support for Sparking! ZERO, we’re going to be busy for a long time.

  • J. Cole announces…. The FALL-OFF

    J. Cole announces…. The FALL-OFF

    J. Cole has finally pulled the trigger on one of the most anticipated projects in hip-hop: The Fall-Off. On January 14, 2026, the Dreamville founder dropped a cinematic announcement trailer, revealed the release date, and sent fans into a frenzy. The album is set to arrive on February 6, 2026—just three weeks away—and the hype is real. If you’re as excited as we are here at Remixco, let’s break down why this moment feels so monumental.A Decade in the MakingThe Fall-Off isn’t some sudden comeback—it’s been brewing since at least 2018. Remember the closing track on KOD, “1985 – Intro to ‘The Fall Off’”? That was the first official tease. Over the years, Cole has referenced it in lyrics, interviews, freestyles, and even hinted it could be his final body of work. After The Off-Season in 2021 and the Might Delete Later mixtape in 2024 (which had its own headlines during the Kendrick-Drake moment), Cole has kept things selective. No rush, no filler—just deliberate moves. The announcement trailer captures that introspection perfectly. It shows J. Cole living simply: washing his Lamborghini Urus, grabbing a solo meal at a diner, reflecting in everyday settings. A narrator overlays thoughts on fame’s cycles—the rise, the plateau, the inevitable “fall off” that critics love to point out. Then it cuts to fire: The Fall-Off. Cole himself raps a snippet: “Picture my soul climbing out of the infinite hole / Where n—as die over pride and live.” It’s raw, conceptual, and feels like a culmination.

Over here at Remixco and our circles we can’t wait to give this a listen. Also… shout out to the Waffle House shot.

  • Life is Unfair Again: ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ Revival Sets April Premiere on Hulu

Life is Unfair Again: ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ Revival Sets April Premiere on Hulu

The family that defined a generation of functional dysfunction is officially returning to the airwaves.

Hulu announced Monday that the long-rumored revival of the landmark sitcom, titled “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” will premiere April 10, 2026. The four-episode limited series will be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., with a simultaneous international release on Disney+.

Accompanying the date announcement, the streamer released a first-look teaser that confirms the return of the series’ core icons: Bryan Cranston, Frankie Muniz, and Jane Kaczmarek.

    A Decade of Silence Broken

The revival catches up with the Wilkerson family years after the original series finale. According to the official synopsis, Malcolm (Muniz) has spent the last decade shielding himself and his daughter from his chaotic family. However, that self-imposed exile ends when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th anniversary party.

The Cast: Returning Legends and New Faces

Fans of the original series, which ran for seven seasons on Fox, will see several familiar faces. Along with the central trio, Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis), Justin Berfield (Reese), and Emy Coligado (Piama) are all confirmed to return.

The revival also introduces a new generation of “middle” children:

    • Keeley Karsten stars as Leah, Malcolm’s daughter.
    • Vaughan Murrae joins as Kelly, the youngest sibling in the Wilkerson clan.
    • Kiana Madeira will play Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend.
    • Caleb Ellsworth-Clark steps into the role of Dewey.

    Behind the Camera

The revival is in experienced hands. Original series creator Linwood Boomer returns as writer and executive producer. Bryan Cranston pulls double duty, serving as an executive producer alongside Gail Berman and Arnon Milchan.

In a move that promises to preserve the show’s signature visual franticness, Ken Kwapis, who directed the original pilot and many of its most acclaimed episodes, will direct all four installments of the limited series.

For those looking to catch up before the April premiere, all seven seasons of the original run remain available for streaming on Hulu.

Stay tuned to Remixco.com as we continue to track developments and exclusive looks at the Wilkerson family’s return to the small screen.
