  • Bandai Namco announces ‘Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters’ for 2026 release

Bandai Namco announces ‘Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters’ for 2026 release

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced Wednesday that the long-running anime soccer saga will return to consoles and PC later this year with “Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters.”

The title, developed by TAMSOFT CORPORATION, marks the franchise’s first major entry in more than six years. Billed as “Super Action Soccer,” the sequel looks to move beyond traditional sports simulation by treating soccer matches as high-stakes battles where players utilize superhuman abilities.

According to the publisher, “World Fighters” will be the most expansive entry in the series to date. The game is set to feature 22 national teams, more than 110 playable characters, and a library of more than 150 unique special moves. These “super moves” will apply to all facets of the game, including passing, dribbling, and tackling.

The gameplay introduces a revamped tactical system for goal-scoring opportunities. This new mechanic pits goalkeepers directly against shooters, allowing both sides to trigger cinematic counters and signature blocks seen in the original manga and anime.

Players can also engage in a custom story mode, creating their own character to join Tsubasa on a quest for a world championship. The journey emphasizes building internal team friendships and navigating rivalries on the pitch.

To maintain the series’ signature energy, Tadayoshi Makino returns as the sound composer. The upcoming title will feature more than 80 new background music tracks.

“Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters” is scheduled to launch later in 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Additional information is available at the game’s official website: www.bandainamcoent.com/games/captain-tsubasa-2-world-fighters.

  • Sony Delivers a Knockout: Here Are the 4 PlayStation Plus Games for February

Sony Delivers a Knockout: Here Are the 4 PlayStation Plus Games for February

If you thought February was going to be a quiet month for gaming, Sony just decided to change the narrative. In a surprising move, PlayStation Plus is offering a “bumper” lineup for February, dropping four titles instead of the usual three.

From the squared circle to the deep freeze of an alien ocean, this month’s selection covers just about every genre imaginable. All four titles will be available to claim starting Tuesday, February 3.

Here is the breakdown of what is hitting your library next month.

    1. Undisputed (PS5)

For sports fans tired of the arcade style, Undisputed is the answer. This is a serious simulation that aims to recapture the technical depth of boxing. It boasts a roster of over 70 licensed fighters—from current heavyweights to legends of the past.

The game features over 60 individual punches and a revolutionary footwork system that lets you control the ring. If you’ve been waiting for a spiritual successor to the Fight Night days, this is the one to download first.

    2. Subnautica: Below Zero (PS5, PS4)

The original Subnautica is widely considered one of the best survival games ever made, and Below Zero turns the temperature down—way down. Set on the arctic region of Planet 4546B, you are investigating the disappearance of your sister while trying not to freeze (or get eaten).

This isn’t just about managing hunger and thirst; it’s about crafting habitats, piloting vehicles, and exploring a world that is as beautiful as it is terrifying.

    3. Ultros (PS5, PS4)

If the art style looks familiar, that’s because the visionary behind Hotline Miami, El Huervo, is involved. Ultros is a trippy, sci-fi adventure set in a cosmic sarcophagus.

The gameplay loop is unique: you engage in brutal, close-quarter combat with cosmic horrors, but you also have to… garden? Tending to plant life opens new paths and offers moments of peace amidst the chaos. It utilizes a time-loop mechanic, allowing you to restart key moments to unlock different areas of the map.

    4. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)

Sometimes you just want to go fast and blow things up. Ace Combat 7 puts you in the cockpit of modern and futuristic fighter jets for intense dogfights. The visuals are photorealistic, and the tactical gameplay requires you to actually think like a pilot rather than just holding down the trigger. It’s the perfect game to test your reflexes (and your stomach for barrel rolls).

    Don’t Forget January’s Games!

With the new lineup arriving on February 3, you have until Monday, February 2 to add last month’s titles to your library. If you haven’t grabbed them yet, make sure to claim:

    • Need for Speed Unbound
    • Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
    • Core Keeper

The 40th Anniversary Special Video (feat. Hans Zimmer)

In one of the most unexpected crossovers in franchise history, a global special video was released today.

“It was truly a joy to be part of this special anniversary project… Drawing inspiration from Akira Toriyama’s incredible illustrations… making it an exciting and unforgettable experience.” — Hans Zimmer

The video, titled “Infinite Future,” features dynamic animation of Toriyama’s original manga covers and illustrations, all set to a sweeping orchestral score by the legendary Hans Zimmer. It’s a literal love letter to 40 years of Goku’s journey.

Here is the breakdown of the major anime projects and gaming news announced at the event

Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol (Moro Arc)

The moment fans have been waiting for since 2018 is finally here. Toei Animation officially confirmed that the “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc” is in production.

    • The Scoop: This is the direct sequel to the Dragon Ball Super anime, adapting the high-stakes battle against the planet-eater, Moro.
    • The Teaser: A key visual was revealed showing Goku and Vegeta in their sleek Galactic Patrol uniforms. While a release date wasn’t set, the “Set for Production” status means the wait for the Moro arc is almost over.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus (Enhanced Edition)

Coming Fall 2026, this isn’t just a rerun. This is a “reconstructed” TV anime project focusing on the Battle of Gods saga.

    • What’s New: It features improved animation, new cuts, and reshot scenes to align the power scaling more closely with modern lore.
    • The Beerus Factor: During the stage event, Beerus’s voice actor teased that this version emphasizes that Beerus is still a massive “moving goalpost” in power, capable of defeating Goku in a blink. It will also incorporate light manga elements and new notes left by Akira Toriyama.

The Genkidamatsuri wasn’t just a celebration of the past; it was a clear signal that the future of Dragon Ball is as bright! Between the mysterious AGE 1000 project and the continued support for Sparking! ZERO, we’re going to be busy for a long time.

Sony Kicks Off 2026 with a Major Flex: ‘Need for Speed’ and ‘Epic Mickey’ Lead January’s PS Plus Drop

Sony Interactive Entertainment is making sure your New Year starts with high-octane vibes and a heavy dose of nostalgia. On Wednesday, the company announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for January 2026, featuring a mix of street racing, reimagined Disney magic, and deep-underground survival.

All three titles will be available for members to download starting Tuesday, Jan. 6. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your virtual whip or grind for resources with the squad, this month’s rotation has something for everyone.

The games will remain available until Monday, Feb. 2. Here is the breakdown of what’s hitting the library.

Need for Speed Unbound | PS5

If you’re looking to bring that main character energy to the pavement, Need for Speed Unbound is the move. Developed by Criterion Games, this entry takes the iconic franchise and cranks up the style with a unique, graffiti-inspired aesthetic.

Players start from the bottom and have to hustle their way to the top of “The Grand,” Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge. With separate campaigns for solo play and multiplayer, you can spend hours precision-tuning your ride. Between the custom kits and a global soundtrack that lowkey slaps, it’s all about looking fresh while you outsmart the cops.

    Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed | PS4, PS5

Disney is bringing a classic back with a serious glow-up. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a vibrant 3D platformer that puts you in the shoes of Mickey Mouse as he navigates Wasteland—a realm for the forgotten characters of Disney’s past.

The mechanics are simple but deep: use paint to restore the world or thinner to “delete” obstacles and find hidden paths. You’ll even run into Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first creation. It’s a nostalgic trip that feels brand new, proving that Mickey still has plenty of pull in the gaming world.

    Core Keeper | PS4, PS5

For those who prefer a more low-profile grind, Core Keeper is an award-winning mining sandbox that supports up to eight players. You wake up in a massive, ancient cavern and have to figure out how to survive.

This isn’t just about digging holes; you’re building bases, crafting high-tier gear, and taking down massive Titans. Whether you’re fishing in mysterious waters or mastering the perfect recipe, Core Keeper is the ultimate “sink-into-your-couch” experience. If you’ve got a squad ready to put in the work, this underground adventure is fire.

    Don’t Sleep on December’s Titles

As the new year rolls in, the clock is ticking on the December 2025 lineup. PlayStation Plus members have until Monday, Jan. 5, to add the following games to their library before they’re gone:

    • Lego Horizon Adventures
    • Killing Floor 3
    • The Outlast Trials
    • Synduality Echo of Ada
    • Neon White

Make sure you claim these before the Tuesday reset so you don’t miss out on the free heat.

  • Remixco Top 5 games of 2025 – Artfullyrandom Picks

Remixco Top 5 games of 2025 – Artfullyrandom Picks

As 2025 winds down, the gaming landscape has been nothing short of a movie. From the snowy peaks of Ezo to the sun-drenched shores of Honolulu, the year delivered titles that didn’t just meet the hype—they completely shifted the culture.

As the owner of Remixco.com, I’ve spent the last 12 months locked in, testing the limits of my consoles and my sleep schedule. Whether you’re a fan of high-stakes swordplay or anime-inspired sports drama, this year’s lineup had something valid for everyone.

Here are my top five games of 2025.

    5. Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom really went all out with this one. Monster Hunter Wilds had me hooked for a minute, mostly because they finally nailed the balance between a deep story and the classic hunting loop. The weather systems changing the ecosystem mid-hunt is a game-changer. Whether I was tracking an apex predator through a sandstorm or just vibing with my Seikret mount, the immersion was unmatched.

    4. Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

For the old-school heads, this one was a massive win. I’ve loved the original games since back in the day, but Konami actually did the work on these enhancements. The HD backgrounds and 3D world map effects breathe new life into the classics without losing that retro soul. The gameplay tweaks, like auto-save and fast-forwarding through battles, make the grind feel way more modern and accessible.

    3. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Only the RGG Studio could take Goro Majima, give him amnesia, turn him into a pirate, and make it work. The gameplay is solid, blending the classic brawler energy with some wild ship-to-ship combat. It feels like a proper side story—it’s not trying to be a massive mainline entry, but the humor and the Hawaii setting make it a mandatory play for the fans.

    2. INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road

I wasn’t sure how an anime RPG mixed with soccer—excuse me, futbol—would hit, but Victory Road is a whole vibe. Level-5 really understood the assignment here. Collecting over 5,000 players and building a squad while navigating a heavy-hitting anime story is surprisingly addictive. It’s a “just one more match” type of game that kept me coming back.

    1. Ghost of Yōtei

If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a proper samurai epic. Ghost of Yōtei is, quite simply, fire. Taking place 300 years after the original, the storytelling is top-tier, following Atsu’s revenge tour through the rugged wilderness of Mount Yōtei. The combat is incredibly crisp, making every parry and strike feel earned. It’s an absolute banger that proves Sucker Punch still has the midas touch when it comes to feudal Japan.

    Honorable Mentions

The list was tight this year, and a few other titles definitely deserved their flowers. Rematch brought some heavy competition to the multiplayer scene, while Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was a surprisingly polished speedster with some wild crossover characters. Finally, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion delivered that high-octane mech action that’s been missing from my rotation.

2025 has been a legendary run for gamers. It’s been a year of sequels that actually improved on the originals and remasters that respected the source material.

The 2027 launch will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Mega Man series, which first started busting bots and captivating players in 1987. • Nagoshi’s New Dragon: Why We’re Hyped for GANG OF DRAGON

Nagoshi’s New Dragon: Why We’re Hyped for GANG OF DRAGON

Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creative force behind the legendary Yakuza (now Like a Dragon) franchise, has officially unveiled the debut title from his new venture, Nagoshi Studio: GANG OF DRAGON. Revealed with a gritty, cinematic trailer at The Game Awards 2025, this new action-adventure game promises a return to the intense, human drama that Nagoshi is known for.

Here’s why GANG OF DRAGON is already shaping up to be a must-play:

    🌟 A Star-Powered Protagonist

The game immediately grabbed attention by casting renowned Korean actor Ma Dong-seok (also known as Don Lee, famous for roles in Train to Busan and The Outlaws) as the lead, Shin Ji-seong.

    • The Story: Shin Ji-seong is a high-ranking member of a Korean crime syndicate operating in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The story will follow Shin as he navigates underworld conflicts and forges “intense, human connections” in the iconic nightlife district of Kabukicho. Nagoshi’s history suggests a story rich with dramatic twists and emotional depth.
    • The Setting: Like the games Nagoshi is famous for, GANG OF DRAGON is centered in a meticulously detailed urban environment, setting the stage for bloody action and realistic atmosphere.

    🔥 Brutal, Action-Focused Gameplay

The core combat philosophy revolves around the protagonist’s overwhelming physical power, befitting an actor of Ma Dong-seok’s stature.

    • Combat Focus: The gameplay is described as third-person combat focused on brutal hand-to-hand strikes, precise blade attacks, gunplay, and high-impact vehicle action.
    • Nagoshi’s Signature: Initial reactions suggest that while it is not officially part of the Like a Dragon series, the game has a distinctly Yakuza-esque vibe with its cinematic brawling and focus on street-level violence.

    Developed by Industry Veterans

GANG OF DRAGON is the first project from Nagoshi Studio Inc., which Toshihiro Nagoshi founded after departing from RGG Studio in 2021. This means the game is being developed by a team with unparalleled experience in creating top-tier Japanese action-adventure games.

    • Release Details: While a specific release date is “Coming soon,” the game is confirmed for PC via Steam and is being developed and published by Nagoshi Studio Inc.. Early buzz suggests we’ll hear more details about platforms and a launch window in 2026.

If you’re a fan of hard-hitting crime drama, rich characters, and Toshihiro Nagoshi’s unique storytelling, GANG OF DRAGON is undoubtedly a title to keep a close eye on.

Here are my standout trailers from the night:

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic While details are scarce, the simple teaser for Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic was enough to send chills down my spine. The promise of a new, completely new Star Wars game was rumored prior to the event, and this reveal is a welcome surprise for fans of the wider Star Wars universe.

Screamer – Story Trailer This trailer caught my attention for its vibrant visuals and fast-paced, anime-inspired action. The story trailer for Screamer kept its slick presentation and promise of an exciting PS5 game.

CONTROL Resonant Remedy Entertainment’s official reveal of the Control sequel, CONTROL Resonant, was a masterful display of the franchise’s signature reality-bending aesthetic. The search results suggest a big departure, with a rumor it will be a melee-focused action RPG starring Jesse Faden’s brother, Dylan [2.1, 2.2]. The trailer’s trippy visuals and shift in combat focus have set the stage for an intriguing new entry in the Oldest House.

Invincible VS – Official Release Date Trailer The 3v3 tag fighting game based on the popular series got its official release date. The trailer confirmed that Invincible VS is launching on April 30, 2026, and also featured the reveal of a new character, Ella Mental.

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE Announcement Trailer For fans of aerial combat, the announcement of ACE COMBAT 8 was a major moment. The brief trailer promised the intense dogfights and cinematic visuals that define the series, with a projected 2026 launch.

  • Threads of Time Reveals Its Time-Jumping Heroes: Meet Luna, Rin, & Bo

Threads of Time Reveals Its Time-Jumping Heroes: Meet Luna, Rin, & Bo

Dive into the who, what, and when of the turn-based JRPG’s era-specific characters.

Every classic JRPG earns its place in history with a memorable setting, an iconic soundtrack, and, most importantly, compelling characters. Riyo Games’ highly anticipated turn-based JRPG, Threads of Time, is taking this concept to the next level by weaving its hero roster from different centuries and all walks of life.

Today, Riyo Games gave us a first in-depth look at some of the unique era-specific characters players will be recruiting and traveling with as they race against time to save history itself.

⏳ The Heroic Backbone of a Time-Spanning JRPG

In Threads of Time, players must venture from century to century to stop a mysterious plot intent on unraveling the past, present, and future. The foundation of this epic journey rests on an unforgettable and diverse party, from Luna the apprentice Fire Mage to Rin the futuristic kitsune, and even a log-lifting Viking dinosaur veterinarian named Bo.

These unique party members form the backbone of a story that spans millennia, promising an unforgettable journey for fans of the genre.

🔎 About Our Three Revealed Time-Traveling Heroes

Here’s a closer look at the three heroes Riyo Games introduced today:

🔥 Luna: The Middle Ages Fire Mage Apprentice

    • Era: Middle Ages (1000 A.D.)
    • Age: 18
    • Class/Role: Apprentice Fire Mage
    • Weapon: Spark Gloves

Luna, a teenager from 1000 A.D., is no ordinary apprentice. While she might enjoy a good plate of fried shrimp, her focus is on arcane theory. As an apprentice to the mage Fontenay, her radical theories regarding time magic are considered eccentric by some, but they might just hold the key to uncovering the threatening plot that seeks to undo time itself. JRPG fans looking for a classic elemental magic user with a story twist will find Luna essential.

🦊 Rin: The Futuristic Kitsune Infiltrator

    • Era: Future (2400 A.D.)
    • Age: 301
    • Class/Role: Freelance Infiltrator
    • Weapon: Katars

Appearing far younger than her 301 years, Rin hails from a futuristic 2400 A.D. Rin is a three-tailed kitsune and a freelance infiltrator who utilizes her signature Katars to devastating effect. Her unique ability to slip seamlessly between her human and fox form allows her to bypass any defense, secure any secret, and slay any enemy. Rin provides a high-speed, stealth-focused dynamic to the party, blending mythological flair with science-fiction action.

🦖 Bo: The Prehistoric Guardian and Dino Vet

    • Era: Prehistory (12 million B.C.)
    • Age: 35
    • Class/Role: Guardian
    • Weapon: Warhammer

The hero from the dawn of time is Bo, a burly 35-year-old Guardian-class warrior. By day, this prehistoric strongman is an unexpected dinosaur veterinarian, tending to his reptilian pals. By night, he’s a log-lifting strongman who brings comic relief to his longhouse. Wielding a massive Warhammer, Bo’s mission in the time-spanning conflict is simple: save his dinosaur companions and stop the evil that corrupts the timeline. Bo is clearly the party’s durable, hard-hitting frontline tank.

📅 When to Jump into Threads of Time

Luna, Rin, Bo, and a host of other heroic travelers will soon set the stage for this epic time-traveling tale. This early look confirms that Threads of Time is committed to delivering the deep character roster and compelling narrative that defines the best JRPGs.

Threads of Time is scheduled to arrive on Steam and Xbox in the future. Stay tuned to Remixco.com for more news and the official release date!
