Square Enix Heats Up Summer with New Games and Updates

Square Enix® fired up the summer games season today with a flurry of announcements during the Nintendo Direct livestream. The leading developer and publisher revealed exciting updates for upcoming titles and unveiled several new games, including a November release date for the highly anticipated DRAGON QUEST® III HD-2D Remake.


DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake Launches this November

Fans won’t have to wait long to embark on a classic adventure. Square Enix confirmed a November 14, 2024 release date for DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake. This stunning reimagining of the beloved RPG features gorgeous HD-2D visuals, modernized features, and a refined narrative. Players can pre-order the standard physical or digital edition, or the collector’s edition, which includes an in-game Trouble-Free Travel Kit.


DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake Coming in 2025

The classic RPG trilogy continues with DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, offering players two adventures in one. While specific platforms and details haven’t been announced yet, fans can look forward to this exciting title in 2025.


Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven Arrives in October

The legendary RPG Romancing SaGa 2 is making a grand return on October 24, 2024, as the full HD remake Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. Developed by the team behind Trials of Mana, this remake boasts modern visuals, reworked strategic gameplay, and various enhancements. Hironobu Sakaguchi Returns with FANTASIAN Neo Dimension

Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and composer Nobuo Uematsu reunite for an enhanced version of the Apple Arcade title FANTASIAN. FANTASIAN Neo Dimension arrives on consoles and PC this winter, featuring English and Japanese voiceovers, a new difficulty option, and more. Players will take on the role of Leo in a captivating story set against a backdrop of charming dioramas.
