DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS delivers a staggering sense of realism on every battlefield. Prepare to be thrown into the midst of the largest number of soldiers ever seen in the series’ history, all fighting with their own individual wills. Enemy soldiers attack in coordinated formations, making them formidable foes. You’ll need to fight with both skill and strategy, and charge forward with your allies to clear a path through the enemy ranks.
Become a Master of Combat
The protagonist of DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS throws themself into the battlefield alongside the heroes of the Three Kingdoms, wiping out swarms of enemies using swords, fists, and various other weapons. Players will travel across the world map on their epic journey, where they can quell rebellions, choose to rescue government forces during “Missions,” overcome “Skirmishes,” and visit various locations to purchase weapons. Throughout their quest, players will also encounter a variety of characters familiar to the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise, such as Cao Cao and Liu Bei. Depending on the bond you forge with these characters, they can become either travelling companions or formidable enemies!
Master the Art of War
In 1 vs. 1,000 combat, players will need to master and alternate between swift and powerful attacks that can break an opponent’s guard. Repeated attacks will increase the protagonist’s “Bravery,” enabling them to use powerful and unique attacks called “Arts.” These “Arts” are unique to each weapon, so mastering the various weapons at your disposal will be crucial. As you progress, your protagonist will gain “Rank,” further improving their skills.
Victory Demands a Strong Defense
While mastering offensive maneuvers is important, so is strengthening your defense. By blocking enemy attacks at the right moment, you can unleash a powerful riposte, “Parry,” which creates a vulnerability in the enemy’s defense. Remember, some attacks cannot be blocked, so mastering the art of dodging will be essential for your survival.
