Evo 2025 wrapped up with a flurry of intense competition and electrifying announcements that have set the fighting game world abuzz. Amidst the celebrations for champions like MenaRD (Street Fighter 6), Khaos (MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2: New Age of Heroes), and Bas (Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001), Capcom dropped bombshell reveals, including the highly anticipated debut of C. Viper in Street Fighter 6 and a first look at Outfit 4 gameplay.
C. Viper Joins the Fight in Street Fighter 6 Year 3
Undercover agent C. Viper is set to bring her unique brand of espionage to Street Fighter 6 as the second character in Year 3. A teaser trailer, premiered just ahead of the Street Fighter 6 Top 8 matches, showed C. Viper analyzing M. Bison’s hologram, hinting at her mission to thwart his nefarious plans. Fans can watch the full teaser trailer here.
Sagat Roars into Action August 5th!
Before C. Viper makes her full appearance, players can prepare to welcome Sagat, the Emperor of Muay Thai, who enters the fray on Aug. 5, 2025. Sagat will be available across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Along with his powerful moves, Sagat arrives with a new stage, Proud Spire, and two iconic looks: his new Outfit 1 and his classic Outfit 2, inspired by his Street Fighter II appearance.
Players looking to expand their Street Fighter 6 roster can pick up the Year 3 Ultimate Pass or Year 3 Character Pass, both available for purchase now. These passes unlock Sagat, the three remaining Year 3 characters (including C. Viper, pro wrestler Alex arriving Early Spring 2026, and the energetic Ingrid in Late Spring 2026), new Outfit colors, and Drive Tickets. Nintendo Switch 2 users can pre-order both passes. Content included in the pass will unlock starting with Sagat’s release on August 5, 2025.
