Threads of Time Trailer Wows at TGS, Showcasing Epic RPG Combat and Time-Bending Heroes

At the Tokyo Game Show (TGS), Riyo Games unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming turn-based role-playing game, Threads of Time. The trailer was showcased during the PC Gaming Show and offered a deeper look into the 2.5D JRPG, which challenges players to command a party that manipulates time itself to save history.

The new footage highlighted the game’s strategic, turn-based combat, where players can bend time, chain stylish combos, and outmaneuver time-twisted foes. A new hero was introduced: Rin, a kitsune ninja from 2400 A.D., whose unique abilities include illusions and blade arts to disrupt battle. The trailer also showcased two distinct settings: Himmenheim, a prehistoric town where Vikings and dinosaurs coexist, and a glimpse of the cyberpunk dystopia of 2400 A.D.

As the press release mentions, Threads of Time invites players to curate a party of adventurers from across different eras. Key features of the game include a time-traveling adventure across diverse periods, “timeless” turn-based combat, a roster of unique heroes, and a visual style that blends retro charm with modern graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5.
