  • Remixco Top 5 games of 2025 – Artfullyrandom Picks

Remixco Top 5 games of 2025 – Artfullyrandom Picks

As 2025 winds down, the gaming landscape has been nothing short of a movie. From the snowy peaks of Ezo to the sun-drenched shores of Honolulu, the year delivered titles that didn’t just meet the hype—they completely shifted the culture.

As the owner of Remixco.com, I’ve spent the last 12 months locked in, testing the limits of my consoles and my sleep schedule. Whether you’re a fan of high-stakes swordplay or anime-inspired sports drama, this year’s lineup had something valid for everyone.

Here are my top five games of 2025.

    5. Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom really went all out with this one. Monster Hunter Wilds had me hooked for a minute, mostly because they finally nailed the balance between a deep story and the classic hunting loop. The weather systems changing the ecosystem mid-hunt is a game-changer. Whether I was tracking an apex predator through a sandstorm or just vibing with my Seikret mount, the immersion was unmatched.

    4. Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

For the old-school heads, this one was a massive win. I’ve loved the original games since back in the day, but Konami actually did the work on these enhancements. The HD backgrounds and 3D world map effects breathe new life into the classics without losing that retro soul. The gameplay tweaks, like auto-save and fast-forwarding through battles, make the grind feel way more modern and accessible.

    3. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Only the RGG Studio could take Goro Majima, give him amnesia, turn him into a pirate, and make it work. The gameplay is solid, blending the classic brawler energy with some wild ship-to-ship combat. It feels like a proper side story—it’s not trying to be a massive mainline entry, but the humor and the Hawaii setting make it a mandatory play for the fans.

    2. INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road

I wasn’t sure how an anime RPG mixed with soccer—excuse me, futbol—would hit, but Victory Road is a whole vibe. Level-5 really understood the assignment here. Collecting over 5,000 players and building a squad while navigating a heavy-hitting anime story is surprisingly addictive. It’s a “just one more match” type of game that kept me coming back.

    1. Ghost of Yōtei

If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a proper samurai epic. Ghost of Yōtei is, quite simply, fire. Taking place 300 years after the original, the storytelling is top-tier, following Atsu’s revenge tour through the rugged wilderness of Mount Yōtei. The combat is incredibly crisp, making every parry and strike feel earned. It’s an absolute banger that proves Sucker Punch still has the midas touch when it comes to feudal Japan.

    Honorable Mentions

The list was tight this year, and a few other titles definitely deserved their flowers. Rematch brought some heavy competition to the multiplayer scene, while Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was a surprisingly polished speedster with some wild crossover characters. Finally, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion delivered that high-octane mech action that’s been missing from my rotation.

2025 has been a legendary run for gamers. It’s been a year of sequels that actually improved on the originals and remasters that respected the source material.

  • Capcom Unveils Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Coming 2026

Capcom Unveils Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Coming 2026

Capcom today announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the latest installment in its popular RPG series, during a Nintendo Direct presentation. The new adventure is set to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection plunges players into a world on the brink, as the nations of Azuria and Vermeil face a mysterious crystal encroachment. Hope emerges with the discovery of an ancient Rathalos egg, only to be overshadowed by the hatching of a second, ominous twin Rathalos. These twins bear the same mark as the “twin Skyscale Rathalos,” harbingers of destruction from a 200-year-old civil war. As the environment deteriorates and monsters face extinction, the specter of war looms once again.

Players will assume the role of the heir to Azuria, a protagonist blessed with unique abilities who rises to become the leader of the Rangers and the sole Rathalos Rider in the kingdom. Their duties involve protecting monsters and investigating egg quartz. A life-altering event propels them to investigate the strange phenomena plaguing the world, leading them to the forbidden land beyond the northern Meridian.

Joining the hero is Eleanor, princess of Vermeil, who offers herself as a hostage to Azuria in an effort to ease tensions between the two nations. Accompanied by her Monstie Anjanath, Eleanor seeks to uncover the true intentions of her sister, the Queen of Vermeil. Bound by the encroaching calamity, the duo embarks on a journey into forbidden territory.

For a glimpse into the new adventure, the reveal trailer is available on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
